TechEd SPeedster
The TechEd Speedster could be one of the best Technology Projects for it's cost. This car has been redesigned over twenty times making improvements every time. Each redesign increased yield, ease of built, and final outcome. All the materials used in the project have been carefully chosen with safety, durability, availability, and cost in mind. There are step by step instructions for the students to follow via screen cast. These videos are great for classes because even when a student misses a class for whatever reason, he or she can just pick up where ever they left off. The students will be using the drill press, scroll saw, hot glue, screw gun, and solder iron and some other basic hand tools to build the car. We are not trying to sell you any of the parts as we are trying to keep the cost down. Most parts will be at your local hardware store.
The car has been successfully built by students with ease. Over the next two months all the pages and videos will be uploaded. I hope that many of you will do this project with your classes as the kids love it, and it is cheap. They also get a kick out of painting their cars and sponsoring them with their favorite products and logos.
